This new sliding bolo float is a similar body design to the popular DH19 whip floats, and been designed for more delicate fishing in very deep water, with fish like roach in mind.

The top and bottom rings are manufactured from lightweight but strong wire and the top eye is small so tiny slider beads can be used. The bottom ring is fitted to the stem with shrink tube.

You can set these floats up with the float resting on the bulk shot but a better way is to fix one of two No4 shots around 6ft to 8ft from the hook then a bulk in the form of an olivette or shot around 3ft to 4ft from the hook and one or two No4 or No6 drop shot below. Always shot the float so that only the insert is showing above the surface of the water once the rig is set.

Casting should be done sideways or overhead and always aim to land the rig in a line then immediately release the line so that it slides through the float before the stop knot rests on the bead on the top eye.
