These plastic open ended feeders incorporate soft copper wires at the leading edge which can be bent down to allow the feeder to 'DIG IN' to the river bed a little to hold bottom in a strong flow without the need to add too much extra weight.
The soft wires will easily 'PULL' from the river bed once extra pressure is applied ij order to retreive.
The wires are removeable so can be swapped between feeders as well.
