BioGrub is a premium insect-based groundbait developed for versatility, performance and year-round use. Extensively tested by the Aquastim team, the blend incorporates Black Soldier Fly Meal, a sustainable, naturally attractive ingredient increasingly used within modern fish nutrition.

BioGrub Original is the true all-rounder of the range. Its lighter, natural colour provides excellent visibility on the bottom, making it equally suited to coloured water and deeper, clearer venues.

BioGrub Dark has been developed specifically for situations where a more discreet groundbait is required. Its dark, almost black colour blends naturally with the bottom, creating a less intrusive feeding area that can help avoid spooking wary fish.

BioGrub Green has been developed to blend naturally into weed-rich lakes, rivers and other venues where a green groundbait provides a more subtle feeding area.

It is equally at home on commercial fisheries, where green groundbaits have long been a popular and versatile choice when targeting carp, F1s and other coarse species.

Rather than simply relying on colour to create the finished mix, BioGrub Green maintains the same high-quality, insect-based formulation and performance characteristics found throughout the BioGrub range.

Particularly effective in clear water and during the colder winter months, when fish can be more cautious and reluctant to settle over lighter, more visible groundbaits.

Combining the same insect-based attraction and performance as the rest of the BioGrub range with a subtle dark colour, BioGrub Dark is an excellent choice for difficult conditions and venues where a more cautious approach can make the difference.

The flexible, compressible texture provides excellent binding properties and allows the groundbait to be adapted to numerous methods. It can be introduced loose through a pole pot, squeezed into balls or packed into a feeder, binding effectively when required before breaking down cleanly on the bottom.

Once disturbed, the fine particles create an attractive cloud through the water while the insect-based ingredients provide a distinctive food signal. The mix is designed to maintain interest in the swim without introducing excessive amounts of feed, making it particularly effective when regular bites are required.

Suitable for carp, F1s, bream, tench and quality silverfish across a wide variety of natural and commercial venues.

Mixing

Place the dry BioGrub Groundbait into a large mixing bowl or bucket and gradually add water.

As a general guide, aim for approximately two parts BioGrub to one part water, mixing thoroughly until the desired consistency is achieved.

Once mixed, leave to stand for at least 30 minutes, allowing the insect meal and fine particles to fully absorb the moisture. BioGrub can also be prepared the night before for a fully absorbed, consistent mix.

For pole or float fishing, introduce the groundbait loose to create an attractive cloud or squeeze it into firmer balls for a slower breakdown. For feeder fishing, the mix binds effectively for casting before breaking down efficiently on the bottom.

Mixing Tips

BioGrub can be used neat or mixed 50/50 with Crushed Expander for a lighter, more active mix.

Alternatively, blend 50/50 with Sweet Supreme Fishmeal to create a richer mix with increased food content and holding power.
