Crushed Expander is a premium pellet-based groundbait developed to provide consistency, attraction and outstanding versatility.

Produced from 100% high-quality expander pellets, finely ground to less than 0.6mm, it delivers all the proven attraction of pellets in a fine, soft and easy-to-use groundbait. With no unnecessary fillers, it provides concentrated attraction without introducing excessive amounts of feed.

Its fine, fluffy texture makes Crushed Expander particularly versatile. It can be cupped in or fed through a pole pot, used through a cage feeder, or added to other groundbaits and Method mixes to soften and lighten their consistency.

When mixed correctly, it binds well enough for accurate feeding or casting before breaking down quickly on the bottom, creating a fine cloud of attractive particles that disperse through the swim.

Suitable for commercial fisheries and natural venues, Crushed Expander is an extremely versatile groundbait for all year-round use.

Mixing Instructions

For a general all-purpose mix, use approximately two parts dry Crushed Expander to one part water and mix thoroughly.

Allow the groundbait to stand for around 10–15 minutes, giving the fine pellet particles time to fully absorb the water. Once rested, pass the mix through a maggot riddle to produce a fine, soft and fluffy consistency.

The finished mix can be cupped, balled or used through a feeder, breaking down quickly to release a fine cloud of attractive pellet particles into the swim.

Mixing Tip

For a slower breakdown and more concentrated feed, gradually add a little more water until a heavier, denser consistency is achieved. This helps reduce the amount of bait spreading through the swim and is particularly useful when the aim is to keep the feed concentrated in a smaller area. The wetter mix can be easily introduced by hand or with a pole cup.
