Over the past few years, pole fishing with flat floats has become a very popular approach on rivers throughout the UK. It’s a great way of fishing for all sorts of different species in flowing water and on certain days it’s a method that can’t be beaten.
The No1 Flatty is a perfect all-round pattern that will cope with a variety of depths and flow rates. It ranges from 2g to 20g and is manufactured from hard foam that is ultra buoyant and hard wearing.
The long wire stems give the float good stability in moving water and the bristles are a mix of fibreglass with a hollow plastic bristle glued on top for a highly visible yet sensitive tip.
The bristle diameters change through the sizes from 1.5mm on the 2g and 3g floats up to 3mm on the 15g and 20g models. This makes them suitable for a wide range of river speeds, depths, species and hookbaits.
