The DH23 is a slimmer float and is perfect for ‘long short lining’ in clear river situations where there is slow flow.
The rigs should be made up on top five or even top six lengths of line and then fished long at 11m to 16m. Fished like this, you can cover a big length of water and loose feed with baits like casters, hemp, tares or maggots.
Use a strung out shotting pattern with No8 and No9 shots for the smaller sizes. For the three biggest sizes, use an olivette and two or three No9 droppers.
The floats all feature long carbon stems with differing length 1.5mm hollow bristles.
