This float looks a bit strange however it has a vewry specific use. The extra long bristle (which is removeable for easy rig storage) gets the body way below any surface tow or wind, this not only makes the float sit extremely still which is important when fishing for shy biting fish like skimmers but it is also really sensitive when dotted down. When the float is lowered into the water to the body the extra long bristle settles really slowly which gives a lovely 'on the drop' presentation for the last few inches which can entice a bite when fish are shy. Also a slight 'twitch' of the line when the rig has settled makes the float rise up to the body and then settle which can also get you extra bits withou lifting the rig from the water.
1.5mm hollow bristle with 0.7mm & 0.8mm carbon stem.
The bristle also features a moveable side eye and the bristle can be pulled from the float to allow easy storage on a winder.
